Hello Hello Hello! It’s Pinspiration Monday here at the studio and we are in love with the tropical theme. We like to inspire you with this colourful mood board for all couples out there dreaming to have a Tropical Glam wedding and curated this stylish collection, to inspire you with different elements that can add to your tropic affair. In our case – we are vibing for a Tropical Glam Desert Wedding.

First we started with the colours. I personally love the ‘brights’ mixed in together with the dark green that ties the whole concept together. What could go wrong with these shades?

However, each couple is different and your tastes are different. This is ideal for those who love an eclectic mix of color. Your wedding is a reflection of who you are and your lifestyle. Your choice of colours gives a glimpse into who you are. When one says tropical it does not always mean an explosion of colour. It can be just green. But this mood board is all about the bright mix of colour.

Now we move on to the fashion. When someone is talking about a tropical glam wedding our minds tend to immediately go into destination/beach wedding. Well, it is not so. You can have a tropical glam wedding in the middle of the countryside. In our case – in the desert. How appropriate do you think the dress styles that we have chosen for our mood board would be with our chosen theme? Is it your style?

Moving on to the decor….the chosen color palette really becomes handy when choosing your decor. From the flowers to the rentals to the linen, the chosen colours creates a pathway to find the ideal decor for your event. You can choose flowers in the same colors as the palette. Or you can use a plate setting or table setting in your chosen colours. However, I must say that just because you may have 5 colours chosen that does not mean all your decorations and rentals have to be in all 5 colors. You can have a bi colour vibe with each decor. The altar and the aisle can be in green but you and your gals can totally ‘carry an  explosion of colour to the altar’.

The details we showcased in the mood board is a reflection of different elements that can be incorporated into your wedding. From pineapples to coconuts to the crochet containers that can be used as centerpieces, to the dull gold gilded cake and even the invitation design, were well thought out details that can be used as part of the decor, stationery or even food. For example, just coz we showcased a coconut food presentation it doesn’t mean you have to do the same thing. You can use coconut as part of your decor, such as a garland of broken coconuts mixed with flowers as part of the decor. The gilded details of the cake can be infused into the stationary design which totally gives the tropical glam feel at first sight.
