Exciting new things have been happening at Paradise Parkway and we cant wait to share it with you. Just this past July we had the privilege to participate at the big fake wedding San Francisco  and oh boy, was it a mind blowing, creative and fun experience! We were searching for a bridal show to participate as our first and came across this bridal show alternative. We jumped right in as it was such a unique concept to a usual bridal show.

It was an experiential bridal show in that it was a fake wedding ergo a wow renewal, and all the vendors were given a chance to design for the event. There was a real couple – Sarah & Rahul who renewed  their wows surrounded by friends and family together with newly engaged brides and grooms to be, and we were given the task to design for two guest tables plus the registration table and the opportunity to collaborate with other participating vendors. From the get go, we were given a concept to work with and San Francisco 2016 was calling for a pool party themed mid century modern event, infused with Retro details.

We played with ultramarine blue, plum and tropical orange for this table, tying the whole design with one detail – the geometric DIY votive, which we created with decorative aluminium sheets. The ever so supportive Jen of Lillette Designs created the beautiful stationary with cut out details and shades of colour to add to the cool vibe of the whole design.

Table no 10 design

Different shapes inspired us to create this table with shades of blue and pinks at play with a table number created with string art by wonderful Amy of Bernal Burrows and Katy birds Shop providing us with retro glassware.

For the registration table we wanted to create an art piece with the concept in mind and created a statement using grape wood and a symbol of the era – the starburst.

With bright colors, geometric shapes and bold patterns at play, we couldn’t resist to create  a bold statement with our designs to make the hip 60’s come alive at a bridal show alternativethe big fake wedding San Francisco 2016.

Till next time
